Zuni Entrepreneurial Enterprises/Empowerment Inc. is currently accepting applications for Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in a setting providing quality care and cashier to work at the convenience store operated by ZEE/Empowerment, Inc.

Employment requirements for a Nurse:

​

          1. Valid (NM) Nursing License
          2. Valid (NM) Driver's License 
          3. Be able to pass a background check
          5. Be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing 
          6. Must be at least 21 years of age  
          7. Utilize the Therap Electronic Documentation database system

​

Nurse responsibilities include but are not limited to:

​

          1. Assess, plan, monitor and manage health related issues.

          2. Provide education and share information among the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), including Direct Support Personnel                      (DSP).    

          3. Identify and support the person's preferences regarding health decisions.

          4. Support health awareness and self-management of medications and health conditions

          5. Respond proactively to chronic and acute health changes and concerns, facilitating access to appropriate healthcare                          services.  

 

Other required trainings include, but not limited to:

​

  • First Aid and CPR 

  • National RTAP - Safety Training and Rural Transit (START) Courses

  • Wheelchair Securement and Wheelchair Lift Operation 

  • Bloodborne Pathogens 

  • Assisting with Medication Delivery


Employment requirements for Direct Support Provider:

          1. High school diploma or GED
          2. Valid Driver's License 
          3. Be able to pass a background check
          5. Be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing 
          6. Must be at least 21 years of age  
          7. Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

Staff responsibilities include but are not limited to;

          1. Must be able to read and write 

          2. Provide personal care for developmental disabled adults and elderly

          3. Assist with medication delivery

          4. Assist with medical appointments

          5. Plan and assist individuals with recreational and daily living activities, along with coordination transportation services

         

All employment must complete competency base training as scheduled.
